Local Conservation Leaders Honoured at OLTA

Three members of the Couchiching Conservancy were recognized for pioneering contributions to the Land Trust movement at this year’s Ontario Land Trust Alliance gathering in Geneva Park.
Lou and Judy Probst moved to Carden Township several decades ago and dedicated themselves to protecting the distinctive natural features of the area. In doing so, they have created a living legacy for future generations.

Fall hunting season in the Couchiching area

The Couchiching Conservancy would like to remind everyone that the fall hunting season has arrived and care should always be taken when out in the woods.

As part of their “Be Seen Be Safe” promotion, Simcoe County Trails has recently published an informative brochure outlining helpful tips that trail users should consider during hunting season: Copies of the brochure are also available at the Conservancy headquarters at Grant’s Woods.
