Born in Nambia of German parents, Ingrid moved to Canada at the age of two and lived most of her life in northern Ontario in “the bush”. After marrying, Ingrid and her husband and their three children were transferred 8 times in Ontario to finally settle in Horseshoe Valley. She loves to explore Copeland Forest on foot, skis, or snowshoes. Ingrid worked as a legal secretary for five years before having her children. After being a stay-at-home mom for 10 years, she went back to school and graduated from York University with a double major in French and German. Since then she has been working at the Canadian Education Exchange Foundation as a Student Exchange Officer, coordinating reciprocal student exchanges for Canadian high school students and their partners in Europe. Ingrid has been a Conservancy Volunteer for a number of years, participating in Conservancy events and being part of two property management teams.
