Liz McClelland

Liz Ross

Liz grew up in Orillia and attended Carleton University to study biology and geology. During the summer between her 3rd and 4th year she had her first opportunity to do arctic research while studying shorebird populations in Nunavut. In her final year of study she did her honours thesis in the field of Paleontology.

Her combination of arctic and paleontological experience led to a contract position at the Canadian Museum of Nature after she graduated. She was hired as a research assistant for an arctic expedition to Bylot and Devon islands in order to prospect for fossils.

Liz joined the board in 2013, and is currently playing a key role in leading the Development Committee.
