9 cm; young specimens smooth, older specimens scaled from remnants of veil, fibrillose remnants of veil at margin edge;
greasy, slightly umbonate young cap with intact veil:68 strong orange yellow, base colour of older cap 84 strong yellow,
with darker colour on remnants.

5-8 cm, white rhizomorphs at base of stalk. marked ring, sulcate on upper side; very scaly below ring, slightly scaly
above. 89 pale yellow with scurfy fibrils, white under veil.
