DESCRIPTION
mixed woods - conifers and deciduous near, but in Polythrichium on granite rock.

SPECIES
A large amount of Racomitrium ericoides var. canescens was nearby on the rocks, but grew no mushrooms. A
similiar group had been seen in Polytrichium the day previous, in similiar habitat ( not in the study area). May
30/02 - another group found near the old second house site- again in Polytrichium communis. Swiss: Volume 4 -

Gills: 81. dark grayish yellowish brown, edges smooth, not paler on the margins, finely adnexed.

max. diameter 1 cm, many are 0.5cm, campanulate; rapidly dry and wrinkle Colour: 76. light yellowish brown

Wiry;4 - 6 cm long, some are shorter, but may be broken off. Width < 1 mm, wiry. Colour: 76. light yellowish brown -
no change during length of stipe. In some cases the connection between the mushroom and the stem of the
Polytrichium has been preserved.
