Protect. Restore. Fund.

We hear you Greta. We hear you loud and clear. That’s why The Couchiching Conservancy was originally formed in 1993. To protect the natural places in our region. To restore the wilderness for future generations. To fund these efforts.

“Nature is a tool we can use to repair our broken climate.”

We are undertaking our most extensive acquisition push ever on the cusp of Greta’s message. Watching this video is re-assuring of why we exist, why people decide to support these efforts, why people trust that this is a part of the local solution.

It will take a swell of support to accomplish these acquisitions.

On the docket at this moment are eight parcels of wild lands, each with different ecological values, eco-system services, Species at Risk and values for our communities. The first parcel within this effort is the Pitts & Milligan Reserve, an 185 acre tract featuring the headwaters of the Head River. You can learn more about this campaign here.

When you donate, you are funding the work to protect and restore these places. We can’t do this without you.
